Here are just a small sample of some of the copywriting projects I have worked on. Unfortunately, not all clients are willing or able to have the work I have produced feature on my website, but you can find their positive comments in the testimonials section. It is also worth noting that many of the examples in my portfolio do not include design work as most of the copy is for websites (I use Word documents instead as the web sites are updated frequently and may be taken offline due to the nature of the businesses involved).
But even if the appearance of the documents isn't always spectacular, you can still get a feel for the way I write.
Fitzroy Building Group - 3 Direct Mail Sales Letters
The Cambridge based building company, Fitzroy Building Group needed 3 sales letters aimed at anyone who has applied for planning permission in the Cambridge area. These letters were to be sent in a sequence at various stages of the planning permission procedure and were to encourage people to source their own builders *Fitzroy Building Group* instead of relying on architects. Links to the letters will be coming soon.
Casa Espresso - Website
A complete web site copy project, this time promoting Casa Espresso, the official Sanremo coffee machine supplier in West Yorkshire. A link to Casa Espresso's new site will be coming soon.
Angela Page Hypnotherapy - Website Homepage

Pellikaan Construction Ltd - Improve Translation for Website
I was approached directly by Pellikaan Construction Ltd., a Netherlands-based building design and construction company who specialise in sports facilities, hotels, and school buildings. They wanted me to rewrite their website copy which had been translated from Dutch into English, but not by native English speakers. I was happy to oblige and tidied up the grammar and re-worked the copy so that it was easier to read and had a better flow. (Document coming as soon as I have approval).
Let's Pass - Website Homepage
As part of an on-going business relationship with one of my previous customers (Bread and Buddha Web Design), I was contracted to produce a new home page for Let's Pass, a Staffordshire driving school.
Realising that the driving school has to compete with larger, national organisations, I decided to highlight the one thing that sets Let's Pass apart from the rest - driving lessons designed to cater for the individual needs of each learner. Let's Pass Driving School (99.12 kB)
Bread and Buddha - Website
Bread and Buddha - Copy for a web design and new media solutions provider in London. The copy promotes the business to small businesses and larger organisations. The important aspect of this project was to tie the copy in with the Bread and Buddha name to create a coprorate image. Bread and Buddha (426.96 kB)
Meet the Surveyor - Website
Meet the Surveyor - Copy for a new property related business - Meet the Surveyor. The copy is aimed at property developers who are losing out on deals because of surveyors under-valuing the properties they have targeted. The emphasis on this project was to create a 1 page website that encourages property developers to contact Meet the Surveyor without going into too much detail about what Meet the Surveyor actually does. Meet the Surveyor Website (94.63 kB)

The Best of Business Directory - Webverts
I have written many 'webverts' for the Birmingham and Nuneaton franchises of leading online business directory, www.thebestof.co.uk (though mostly for the Nuneaton franchise). These 'webverts' promote businesses in the local area and have a specific keyword density to ensure stronger rankings in popular search engines such as Google.
Here are just a few of the many 'webverts' I have written:
The Best of Nuneaton - AJ Carriages (43.56 kB)
The Best of Nuneaton - Crystal's Bridal Centre (35.5 kB)

What I Wanna Be - Leaflet

What I Wanna Be - Leaflet (1.41 MB)
Families Need Fathers - Leaflet (Interior)
One of the first copywriting projects I worked on, this leaflet for the Families Need Fathers charity had to promote the rights of fathers with the emphasis on the needs of the children. And no, FNF are not those blokes that dress up as Batman and Spiderman and climb up government buildings. At least, not to my knowledge.
Families Need Fathers - Leaflet (125.25 kB)
Second Opinion Marketing - E-Book
I created this E-book for Second Opinion Marketing after they approached me to produce a document that they could hand out in printed form and distribute via their web site. Second Opinion (673.89 kB)
